Hey Andy, you were the best professor ever and I love your enthusiastic approach too every style of music. I know that you respect all sorts of music and that is rare. I know a band in Bloomington that is a really good blues rock band and think you should give them a listen (or two). They really incorporate the roots of any type of music that is popular today. Their music is on Facebook at www.facebook.com/theblackguys it would be much appreciated if you gave them a shot at being an opener for you at The Bird next time you play there.

Hey Andy!
Just had to tell you again how much I enjoyed the show at the Schweitzer Fest. The whole show was incredible to say the least. I was really blown away with the Pink Floyd set! Feel free to stop by whenever you are in town.

Hey Andy! I remember you from several years ago. You called us up and asked us to play at your wedding reception. We were willing to play except we imposed the requirement that you fund our trip. Unfortunately it didn't work out. However, ever since then I've just felt terribly bad about missing the reception after promising to play for you. Let's get into contact again, I'd love to come in and watch one of your classes even.
Thanks,
MWatts

Andy,
I am listening to your music for the first time today. I'm hooked and a fan. I keep singing "You've Got to Choose" unfortunately for my co-workers, since I can't sing.

Hello professor of rock. I am currently enrolled and enthralled in your rock in the 70s and 80s course, and just wanted to let you know I appreciate your realness, your sensible asides, your inflections and interpretations, as well as what you stand for. Kudos, Sir. And thank you.

I like the home page, very nice. I was in 3 of your classes and loved all of them. I have a Jimi Hendrix question for you. My son is huge Jimi freak and we have been debating the exsistance of rare recordings of what my son calls "Cherokee Mist", I found him a copy of the book for Christmas, but we would appreciate it if you could end the argument. Please contact me.

Andy,
Even though I slacked off like crazy in your Z385 class, it bears mentioning that I've now fully immersed myself in the likes of Elmore James, Elizabeth Cotten, Muddy Waters, Tampa Red, Blind Boy Fuller, Blind Willie McTell, and Robert Johnson. And I thank you for that!
-Petra
P.S. Thanks for all the punk references in class!

Andy,
I was in your History of Rock 'n' Roll class in the Spring of 1997. One of my fondest memories was you sharing "Come Hang at My House" with the class. Most of the class was rude and talked through the whole thing, but I appreciated you putting yourself out there and the song has actually served as a strong image for pastoral care in the years since.
